Survival got me here. It does not get to run the rest.

Last light on still water, dark trees and a gold line on the surface

The version of me that survived is not the same man who gets to live. Survival got me here. It does not get to run the rest.

The hardest part of healing was not quitting the old life. It was grieving the man who needed it. He kept me alive. He also kept me small. I am not going to spit on him. I am not going to let him keep the keys.

Sobriety did not give me a new personality. It took the noise off the old one.

Nobody claps for the days you just do not pick it back up. Those are the days that actually build the life. The sessions. The soil. The school run energy. The quiet cup before first light. That is the work.

I used to confuse being needed with being loved. That is why I stayed in rooms that were emptying me out. You can forgive someone and still not give them access. Those are two different jobs.

A healed man still feels the old wounds. He just refuses to let them drive.

I am not a therapist. TTCG is not a clinic. If you are in it, you already know the difference between a man talking from the bank and a man selling a programme. This is the first one. Peer support. Lived tools. Higher Power. Nature. People who will not flinch when you tell the truth.

If you need clinical help, take it. If you need a room of people who have been through the fire and are still standing in Cornwall mud, we are here.
