Real tribes. Bank, soil, and the groups.
No fake positivity. Honest people sharing stories, catching each other, growing in public. The photo-drop is the door. The groups are the room.
About
Christopher Whyte. Cornwall. Founder of To The Carp Gods Ltd. A man with a rod, a plot, a kitchen, and a date he does not treat lightly.
More than 35 years with a rod in my hand. Over two and a half decades after carp. Trained as a chef at Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen Cornwall. RHS Level 1 horticulture at the Eden Project. The kitchen taught standards. The garden taught seasons. The water taught respect.
TTCG was not born in a boardroom. It came out of addiction, the bank, and getting my hands back in the dirt. Sober since 30 March 2022. Coming up on a year medication-free. Higher Power. Nature. Work. People. That is the backbone.
Carp angling is not a hobby here. It is the metaphor that keeps proving itself. Patience. Timing. Knowing when to hold and when to let go. Trusting what you cannot see yet.
It is not a brand. It is a testimony.
We are the generation that refuses to stay asleep.
We have seen through the noise, the false promises, and the empty chase for more. We have chosen community over competition, and regeneration over extraction.
TTCG Communities exists to reconnect people to land, to craft, to truth, and to each other. We plant, build, and teach because action is prayer. We share what we learn because wisdom multiplies when it is passed on.
Freedom starts within. We are not waiting for permission.
01 · Community
No fake positivity. Honest people sharing stories, catching each other, growing in public. The photo-drop is the door. The groups are the room.
02 · Education
The patience that puts a carp on the mat is the same patience that rebuilds a life. Rigs, bait, watercraft. Soil, cooking, showing up. Teach the craft. Keep the metaphor honest.
03 · Recovery
Addiction, mental health, the quiet after the noise. Nature, discipline, and people who have been there. We are not clinicians. We are proof that the bank and the soil still work.
04 · Stewardship
Look after the water that holds you. Look after the soil that feeds you. Responsible angling. Regenerative growing. Leave it better than you found it.
